10 week Ski Instructor Programme

This programme is aimed towards preparing participants for the New Zealand Ski Instructors Alliance (NZSIA) Certificate in Snowsports Instruction. This is an entry level certification designed to introduce people to the industry of ski instruction. It is not recognised world wide. If an international qualification is what you are looking for then the Stage One level achieved in the ten week course is an internationally recognised qualification. Over the five weeks you will learn the fundamentals of teaching others as well as dramatically improving your own skiing ability. New Zealand Snowsports Academy also focuses on free-style skiing to ensure you increase your personal skiing skills in all areas. All free-style coaching is done by qualified coaches and some of New Zealand's top riders. Coaching is done at Snow Park NZ. Snow Park NZ opened to the public four years ago as the first dedicated freestyle resort in the world. Since its inception, Snow Park has evolved into the Southern Hemisphere's premier freestyle skiing and snowboarding destination. Today Snow Park has two superpipes, each designed and cut to perfection, a quarter pipe, 40 rails and hits on an ever changing landscape throughout the season and music playing everyday on a 5000-watt system while you ski.
