The Resorts

The Southern Lakes region is home to five great resorts, all within 45 minutes drive of Wanaka. Each of the resorts are very different, not only with their unique terrain but also their personality. When you are on our course you will get to ride them all, but the majority of the course will be done at the two following resorts.

Cardrona

Cardrona is a relaxed and friendly resort located between Wanaka and Queenstown, New Zealand. It is well known for its wide groomed trails and its facilities are unmatched for operating instructor-training programmes. It also offers chutes, drops and powder bowls along with the longest terrain park in New Zealand. Since it is more southerly facing than surrounding resorts, its snow stays lighter and dryer.

Snow Park NZ

All freestyle coaching is done at Snow Park New Zealand. Snow Park opened to the public four years ago as the first dedicated freestyle resort in the world. Since its inception, Snow Park has evolved into the Southern Hemisphere’s premier freestyle destination. Today Snow Park features three half pipes, a quarter pipe, 40 rails and hits and music playing everyday on a 5000-watt system while you ride. On your first visit to Snow Park, you will realize they have created an atmosphere unparalleled by any other resort in the world. From tunes playing all day on the massive speakers to the tasty snacks and coffee available in the jungle lounge. From first time park riders to the most advanced, Snow Park NZ has something for everyone. Always a popular element of the park, the beginner boxes and jumps allow for fast easy progression.
