Getting Here

As you will have your own schedule and possibly like to visit other countries before or after you visit us, we have not included airfares. When flying into New Zealand there are 2 main international airports: Auckland in the North Island and Christchurch in the South Island.

Here are some options to get to Wanaka

  • The easiest option is to Queenstown Airport where we will pick you up and take you to your accommodation in Wanaka. Transfers from Queenstown airport are included in the overall price of the 10-week ski or snowboard instructor training course. Transfers for 2007 will be leaving once a day from July 12th till July 15th.

  • Alternatively you can fly directly to Wanaka where we will also meet you, however there are limited flights to Wanaka Airport, which can make it difficult to link with international flights.

  • Bus from Christchurch to Wanaka. Travelling by bus can be a great way to see the stunning landscape between Wanaka and Christchurch. It is a 7-hour journey and can be the cheapest option.

Passport:
All visitors to New Zealand must carry a passport that is valid for at least three months beyond the intended date of Departure. To check for any New Zealand Visa entry requirements go to www.immigration.govt.nz
Insurance
All participants of a New Zealand Snowsports Academy course must have personal travel insurance that covers them for loss and injury while skiing or snowboarding in New Zealand.
